Who we are

This policy explains how SaveOnSolar handles personal data collected through saveonsolar.eu. Personal data means any information about an identified or identifiable person, such as your contact details, what you enter in the calculator, and how you use the site.

SaveOnSolar is the data controller for the personal data you provide here. For any data question, email privacy@saveonsolar.eu.

What data we collect

We collect only what is needed to give you an estimate and, if you ask for it, to connect you with installers. That includes the details you enter in the calculator, such as household size and energy use, and contact details such as your name, email, phone number and address when you request quotes.

Why we use it

We process your data for these purposes:

• To produce your personalised savings estimate.
• With your consent, to pass your request to vetted independent installers so they can send you quotes.
• To send service messages about your request, and, only if you opt in, occasional updates about energy and our tools.

Legal basis

We rely on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR when we share your details with installers and when we send marketing. We rely on our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) to run and improve our service. Your consent is voluntary and you can withdraw it at any time.

Our service is not intended for anyone under 18.

Sharing with installers

To give you the service you ask for, we share your details with independent third-party installers inside the EU so they can send you quotes. We tell you which providers receive your details. These providers are independent controllers and have agreed not to use your data for anything beyond sending you a quote.

Quotes usually arrive by email, SMS or phone within 30 days. You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing hello@saveonsolar.eu. We do not sell your data.

How long we keep it

We keep your personal data only as long as it is relevant, and no longer than 1 year. If you have not used our service for a year, we delete your data and withdraw any marketing consent automatically.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
• Have inaccurate data corrected, or have your data erased.
• Withdraw your consent at any time.
• Object to, or ask us to restrict, our processing.
• Complain to your national data protection authority.

This site uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that make your experience work better. Strictly necessary cookies are set so the site can function. For everything else, such as analytics and marketing, we ask for your consent, which you can change or withdraw at any time.
